We arrived in Milan on the 1st around 3:00 in the afternoon. The fight from Amsterdam was easy, except that "AlItalia" is little bit, how can I put it, "Slow" (a lot like "TAP"). The trip from the airport to the "Principe de Savoia Hotel" was nearly 1 hour long. But, as soon as we arrived at the hotel, all was perfect. Milan is very nice, the people are friendly and the city is very welcoming. We did not have much time so we went straight to the shops, that was part of my birthday present. "Moschino," "Armani" classic and "Emporio," "Cavali," and "Iceberg" were very nice and friendly. On the other hand, "D&G" and "Versace" were rude and full of themselves. Their idea of a good customer has to be someone who is on the list of friends of "J Lo" and drunken "Paris Hilton." The thought of it makes me shiver.
The next 2 days we stayed around the hotel; visited the Duomo and the Galleria Victtorio Emanuele II. We also went to a gay club, "Afterline," a little bit like the "Exit" in Amsterdam 15 years ago -- small place, and once again a lot of "J Lo" and "P. Hilton." We stayed long enough for me to have my "Jack D." When we left, we walked back to the hotel past the Central Station, where all the Working Ladies work. On the 3rd of September, we flew "AlItalia" to Florence -- easy flight, late again, but by then we were ready for it. That was Milan. All in all, it was a great visit to the Northern Capital of Italy.
