The Sacré-Coeur basilica in Montmartre (Paris)

The Sacré-Coeur Catholic basilica was built at the end of the 19th century at the top of the Montmartre hill in Paris. Its famous white pastry like architecture is dominating the city.
The Sacré-Coeur is a holy place and a flagship of Catholic devotion to the Holy Virgin in Paris. It attracts many pilgrims from all over the world and has a large network of affiliated churches.



The Sacré-Coeur has been represented many times by the Montmartre painters near-by on Place du Tertre.

Its nice to be in Paris visiting my friends and experience the buzz of the first round of the French presidential election
"Go Segolene Royal"
And just walk around this enchanting city that I love so much.
Thank you CEXHIB for the nice sunday afternoon and evening, and for the picture at the Cafè on the Louvre.
It really is a pleasure to be in France at this moment of political change, it's nice to know that once again the French have shown the world that Democracy works.
And I'm happy to hear that a lot of young people are actively involved in politics. And once again thank you for saying no no non to " Le Pen " it is time to change the circle of FEAR and DISTRUST among people.
One more day of " Paris Views " and then it's time to go back to Maxine and get ready for the Queen's Day celebrations.
