My Eighth lesson 

Days go by 

Random Paintings and thoughts 

One more lesson and the painting will be ready, I better start thinking of what to paint next

I'm enjoying my lessons and study on colors, it is nice to have one day in the week for myself 

I am looking forward to a nice relaxed weekend maybe play some pool as well

The weather in Amsterdam is really stormy, good weather to be home

I did the baby sitting today, it was Sint-Maarten and went around the houses with the boy singing songs and getting candy Tradition in North Holland 

We don't do that in Madeira

Time to rest now, i can't wait for next weeks lesson

My Seventh Lesson

I'm one week behind, this was last week's lesson

It is late in Amsterdam and cold to, it will rain a lot this week and cold wind as well

The project of clearing up the VHS videos collection was successful now I have to decide what to do with them I'm sure that in 10 years i will be doing the same thing to the dvd's 

Tomorrow I will post todays "Lesson Number Eight"

I'm off to bed and watch the Golden Girls tomorrow is baby sitting day

I miss Paris, Madeira and LA to

New Idea self-portrait I guess,

The lessons continue and I am getting excited to go back and experiment more with colors.

It's late in Amsterdam the rain as stopped, tomorrow I'm baby sitting early in the morning must get up by 7.

It is not to bad, I love the kid.

And maybe I will get to that Rhythm of not sleeping to late.

I'm happy with the kind of pop art look the new idea is turning to.

The first idea was to make a painting of Maria Callas , I know "why"?

I will call him "Boneco" Portuguese word.

Days Go By 

My fourth lesson 

It is finished, I decided that I don't want to do more to the painting

I want to start something new.

 Lessons take time, and time is even more scarce than ability in my case.

I enjoyed my four lessons, once a week for two hours my mind stops and thinks.

Now that the first idea is finished the next new idea can come to the front.

To be honest, I am confused and sometimes have no idea what to do next.

But I will soldier on.

My plan was to work more on watercolors at home.

But with everything else happening around me, and time again being Scarce.

We will see what happens next.

Another week goes by, the rain and the cold are all over Amsterdam.

The birds have flown down south or north and the trees decided to go to sleep.

It's time for Autumn the season of gold orange brown yellow red purple green white and black.

CATS are fighting MARIA is singing as she does always when I'm a little down WHY am I a bit down I have no idea WHY? I just do 

So it is a good time to work on a new idea 

The air is kind and the COLORS are truly AUTUMN COLORS

I went by an art shop in AMSTERDAM

Got something called Gesso universal primer

Couleurs Fines a L'huile ou Óleos Finos CORES TRADICIONAIS para PINTURA A ÓLEO PIGMENTACION consistency so many things to remember 

And I forgot the turpentine so I can't mix the colors 

I will make a SKETCH of an IDEA then use that as the FIRST STEP

I'm not so stoned any more NICE

The cats are friends again bound by the love of a candy treat 

TIME for me to close the CURTAINS to the world and MEDITATE with Maria

Something will happen eventually 

Have a good CLEARING of the SPACE around me try not to have so many plants video tapes does anybody still use them?

It is Saturday and the sun is out nice and warm

I'm keeping to the WATERCOLORS for the time

I still have a PROBLEM with OIL PAINT more complicated than I thought but it does not matter

I'm still enjoying it very much NICE.

It was my first oil painting lesson today

I will be going every wednesday for 2 hours to a group painting lesson

I want to try and understand the process of creating an image an idea on canvas 

The cold weather as arrived in Amsterdam " Gaivota " is starting her winter sleep 

So now is a good time to start a new thought' an idea

First I was asked to choose an image 

As soon as I saw an image of a painting by Karel Appel Karel Appel http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karel_Appel

The simplicity and almost infantile way of painting the bold colors appealed to me 

I'm excited and can't wait for the next lesson
